Hi
I have a cisco UC 540 device. I have lost the enable mode password. I want to reset the password without losing its configuration. Is there any way ? Please help me out.
Thank you

There is not an easy function for this with these units - not like recovering a router or switch.
I had this happen on a unit that went bad.
If you still have support option for the device, then contact support and they take you to a web tool that unlocks advanced configuration options on your unit which will allow you to change the admin password.
Your other option is to default the unit and apply last known good backup.

Thank you for the reply
The problem is i dont have any warranty left on it. Either i have to extend the contract or find any other way. But if i extend it, are you sure there is a way that they can reset the password without resetting all the configuration?
