UC560 - How to specify DNS servers on DHCP WAN ?

Hello Everyone,

I have a UC560, with a WAN interface on Comcast Cable modem.  The UC560 pulls DHCP from Comcast (the client does not have a static IP with Comcast).  Unfortunately, the Comcast DNS servers are crappy, and we usually put our clients on opendns.org servers (208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220).  I'm on CCA version 3.0(1), and there appears to be no way to set the WAN to DHCP, but specify DNS.  Do I need to do this in CLI?

Thanks,

Joe

Hi Josef,

This can be done also if you specify the DNS in the DHCP pool for the clients of the UC. You can setup the DHCP server to point to another DNS server like opendns.org servers. The DNS in the WAN connection will then be used only from the UC itself and the DHCP client of the UC will use the preferred DNS.

Best regards,

Alex
