Hi
So ive turned on the remote login via https on, and as far as i understand i should be able to login via my wan ip address on my uc 320w which is 192.168.1.6, so should i be able to test this internal on the network by using https://192.168.1.6:8080, because it doesnt work, ive also done a port 8080 forward to 192.168.1.6 in my router so i should be able to use https://publc_address:8080.
Any help would be great
Thanks
Dave

Hi Dave,
To confirm your configuration, you have another router sitting WAN side of the UC320W. In that router you have a TCP port forward of WAN router WAN IP to the WAN IP address of the UC320W (a static or DHCP reserved address). It also matters where the PC you are testing the access is located as some routers don't like hairpining traffic on their WAN interface.
The basic test is to connect your PC to the 192.168.1.x network and try to access the UC320W by https://192.168.1.6:8080 If that works, then you need to connect your PC to the the internet (WiFi in a coffee shop, etc) and try to access your WAN router's WAN IP on port 8080.

Hi chris
That is correct, ive tried https://192.168.1.6:8080 and it just times out, and ive tried the external wan address from my home internet connection and still no joy.

Hi David,
I suggest you put a call into the Small Business Support Center where they can look at the specifics of your network more closely.
Thanks,
Chris

Hi Dave,
One small question?
What firmware version are you using?
Thanks,
