Hi Guys,

Just to clarify, do we need to have interesting traffic to first before the tunnel goes up or the tunnel will automatically goes up as long as both peers have the exact configuration?

You need to have interesting traffic to initiate the tunnel.

Hi,
If you are using a crypto map, then yes you need interesting traffic before the tunnel is built. However if you are using a VTI then the tunnel is established straight away.
