Solved: 2811 can not detect NM-16AM

Hi, I had a 2610XM + NM-16AM bundle and recently changed the chassis to 2811 but it don't detect analog modem module correctly. IOS ver is 12.3(8)T8 See below for output of "sh diag" command:

Slot 1:

Unknown (type 111) Port adapter

Port adapter is disabled

Port adapter insertion time unknown

I find a document about your question.do you know that 2811 router not support NM_16AM ? could you pls read this link :

in table 1-6 ypu can see that 2811 did not support nm-16am but it can support NM-16AM-V2

so, you should change your module.

Hi

do revert back wht ios train ur running like ipbase or ipplus or advanced services etc.,

or else paste out the full file name of the ios code here so that it can be checked out for compatibility issues if any.

if u have cco access do find the link which can be useful to find out the reqd/compatible ios to support ur hardware installed..

hi

i did give a try to find out a compatible ios code to support your H/W but not lucky enough to have the option enabled at present for 2811 series box :-(.

would suggest to check out with the service contract center to find out the compatible code to support ur h/w..
