Are there any plans to release a 64 bit IPSec VPN client for Windows 7?

I don't think Cisco has any plans to develop a 64 bit client because of anyconnect deployment. You may want to look at the following for VPN client alternatives:

NCPs client is secure and easy to import .PCF files
Here is the data sheet for more information: http://www.ncp-e.com/fileadmin/pdf/datenblaetter/NCP_DS_Entry_Client_Win32_64.pdf
Good Luck!

I tried the shrew client with Windows XP 64, Windows Vista 64 and Windows 7 64 and I didn't had any problem both installing and using it.
It's a really good product. I suugest it to everybody who have to use on 64 bit environment.

Yes, expect a 64bit IPSec client some time this year!!!! BTW:Any other IPSec client that is not Cisco, is not be supported if you run into issues connecting to Cisco headend devices (ie. ASAs, IOS,etc)

Hi Nitin,
Not sure if you need a VPN client immediately...? If you do, check out NCP Secure Entry Client- it's universal with devices and very easy to configure.
Check out our blog, we write more on this: http://vpnhaus.ncp-e.com/

If I remember correctly NCP cost money whereas Shrewsoft is free and works fine. Greenbow has a 64 bit client as well. Personnaly I prefer free.

Cisco Doesn't have an IPSec client for Windows 7 64 bit.It is going to be released later this year.Right now only anyconnect client is the option and that is too ver 2.4x and above(If Cisco is your priority ;-p)
Thanks,
