When I installed the VPN client on my machine with XP, SP2 and updates the machine booted until it got to the Windows User Log On Screen where I immediately got a blue screen with the
Stop Code 0x96
- Invalid_Work_Queue_Item -
If I go to Safe Mode and uninstall the client everythings returns to normal. Anyone have any ideas?
Thank You

I have a similar experience with my laptop coming out of standby in the wireless mode.
Driver_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
>*** STOP: 0x000000D1 (0x00000008 0x00000002 0x00000001

Is there an update to dne2000.sys?

I'm not sure this is similar to my thing. Not sure about an update. You might want to Google it and see. Thanks.

I too have the same problem. I am trying to connect to my corporate network through VPN(4.6). It ends up in following error.
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL.
Configuration:
Dell Inspiron E1505.
XP Home SP-2.
VPN 4.6
History:
I was able to connect to VPN for past eight months. I have been working in the network with out any problems. Last month I had some problems in my laptop and ended up in formatting it.
I have used the default OS installation CD shipped along with the laptop. But after the re-installation, the system started failing. I have never been able to connect after that.
I too agree that this may not be same as the one described in initial posting. But the one explained by henryadams is a genuine issue.
This is not only with me. But also happens with two of my colleagues as well.
Would appricate if any one can help on this.
Thanks, Raja
