I have AnyConnect 4.3.03086 on my Windows 7 laptop and every time I log into Windows, it tries to connect to my company VPN. Since that requires entering a username/password, it just sits there and doesn't connection, but it's annoying as this window pops up every time I log into Windows.
I have the option to "Start VPN when AnyConnect is started" and "Start VPN before user logon to computer" unchecked in preferences, yet it still starts the VPN when AnyConnect opens. My old Windows 7 laptop never had this problem.
How can I keep AnyConnect from trying to connect to the VPN when I log into Windows?

You should check your AnyConnect profile that is pushed by your IT department. They have probably setup Trusted Network Detection (TND) rules that are kicking off the VPN connection.
The profile is located in the C:\ProgramData\Cisco\Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client\Profile\ directory. You could have multiple installed and if any of them are setup for TND you could see this issue.
Thanks,

There's only one profile and I don't see anything that indicates a trusted network detection rule. The auto connection on start is also set to false.
<AutoConnectOnStart UserControllable="true">false</AutoConnectOnStart>
I did find a withRDP.xml file that has the auto connect on start set to true. I don't know where that came from. It's set to usercontrollable as well though so I would assume that whatever I set would override this.
<AutoConnectOnStart UserControllable="true">true</AutoConnectOnStart>
Also of note, the VPN doesn't try to connect when I switch networks or when I quit and manually run Anyconnect. It only runs on Windows login.

Hi Mike,
Would you be able to provide a DART bundle for this issue? If you could note the time of the automatic connection it would help.
Thanks,
Steve S.
