Hello EveryOne,

There is one query regarding ASA 5510 anyconnect deployment. We are having ASA 5510 with security plus lic. and want's to run anyconnect(client) VPN for multiple users. Does it require a separate license for Anyconnect(client).

5510  is having security plus lic.

Parameters on firewall:

AnyConnect Essentials: Disabled

AnyConnect Premium: 2

Max VPN Session: 250

If I am running anyconnect VPN it is taking max 2 session. But we need more sessions.

Thanks

Vishaw

If you are just going to use PCs to connect to anyconnect using the AnyConnect client and not the clientless SSL then you only need to buy the AnyConnect Essentials license for the amount of connection you require (supports up to 250).  If you require clientless SSL also, then you need to buy the Premium license.  If you also need that mobile phones, Tabs, etc. need to connect to AnyConnect client, then you need the AnyConnect mobility client.

The following link gives you an overview of licnenses for the 5510 and other ASA models.

Also, here Pete does a good job of explaining AnyConnect licenses.

Thanks Marius for clearing my doubt.:)

AnyConnect Essentials is reaching EOL and should not be bought any more. AnyConnect Plus Licenses should be bought instead.
