Hi
I need to change the password on an ASAv.
I have found this guide and it seems pretty easy. But at the begining they copy the running config to a backup file: https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/security/asa/asa93/configuration/general/asa-general-cli/basic-hostname-pw.html#pgfId-1426284
Right now i don't have priviledge exec mode access to the ASAv so my question is if the running configuration is deleted during the recovery procedure?
I don't want to loose the configuration just change the password.

You will not loose configs. The process is the same as on any other ASA: you boot it with no configuration, then get into the privileged exec mode, issue the 'copy startup running' command, and then set the new enable password.

Hi @Roy Harrington,
I am experiencing issues trying to log into ROMMON mode when booting up a Cisco vASA (Virtual Adaptive Security Appliance) instance. When I attempt to access ROMMON by interrupting the boot process, the system either skips the ROMMON prompt or doesn’t allow me to issue commands. Can someone help me with this issue?
