Can ASA5500 perform IPSec and firewalling on inbound & outbound flows

I was wondering whether the ASA5500 can firewall a flow according to firewall rule base in ASA5500 and then put it inside an IPSec tunnel for transmission to internet. Similarly, accepts IPSec flow from internet and after the flow has been decrypted, the flow is firewalled according to the firewall rules in the ASA5500 before transmission to the inside network.

Installing the SVC software on the ASA5500 using the Adaptive Security Device Manager (ASDM) or through the CLI command interface will allow ASA5500 perform IPSec and firewalling on inbound & outbound flows.
