Cannot upload AnyConnect image to ASA via ASDM

I'm trying to upload an AnyConnect image to flash on an ASA via ASDM:

I seem to be able to get to 90%:

And then it errors out:

Response code 500 apparently means internal error, which doesn't tell me much.

I've tried uploading smaller text files and zips, and they upload fine.

Why can't I upload the AnyConnect image?

Additionally, there appears to be plenty of space:

I haven't seen this exact error but there has been some weirdness with the 9.1x versions and file structures.

Are you able to load another largish file - say ASDM 7.1(5)? If you can change to that ASDM version it might help.

If also seen folks unable to accomplish the http upload succeed with tftp (but not ftp). It's certainly not preferred but be be a workaround in a pinch.

I get the same problem when trying to upload the 22MB ASDM 7.1.5.100 image. It get's to 90% then returns the same error message.

Could you please tell me a little more about your "in a pinch" suggestion?

I was saying try tftp in a pinch. As in (from cli):

     copy tftp:///asdm715.bin disk0:/

Thanks, that worked OK.

You're welcome. Glad it helped. Thanks for the rating.
