Having moved to Australia recently and brought my 677 with me, I find that Telstra only support 8/35 as PVC on the DSL link. Is there any way to persuade the 677 up there? I found a command along the lines of 'set base count' which possibly gets it to count from a number other than 0, but I can find no documentation or get it to work.

The 67x products have preset "base" and "count" variables on the ATM port. The "base" variable is defaulted to zero and the "count" is defaulted to four. It means the default VPI range of 0-3 that you see in CBOS sets the VPI from a value of 0-3 (I know this sounds obvious but bear with me...). You can change the "base" variable to something other than zero and this will allow you to get higher VPI numbers, but they will always show up as 0-3 in CBOS. The actual value of the VPI will be the base + VPI# that you see in CBOS. So, for example, to get a VPI value of 8, you can set the "base" to 8 and use VPI = 0. VPI of 1 would really be 9, VPI 2 would be 10, etc. So try to check if these commands exist/can be used
set nvram add atm wan vpi base = x
set nvram add atm wan vci base = x

That worked fine but now I'm getting HEC errors, It worked fine on a 6400 DSLAM. I've tried changing to ANSI and turning payload scramblong off, any ideas?
