Hi,
I have the problem, that when I want to connect to the VPN Gateway (ASA 5510) with the AnyConnect Client 3.0 I will get the error "Failed to load preferences" when I try to connect via the SSL Portal of the ASA, everthing works fine... I have tried to reinstall the Client - without any success... can someone tell me whats going wrong with my client?
Thx

Hi Robert,
Please do the following:
- Enable a group-alias or group-url for the tunnel-groups.
- Remove the XML profile from ASA (please export it first to keep a backup).
On the affected machine:
- Remove Preferences.xml.
- Remove preferences_global.xml.
- Remove the XML profile in the Profiles folder.
Then reconnect the client.
Let me know.

You will get the same error if there is any miscellaneous xml files in the profiles directory.
Solve by removing any miscellaneous xml files from profile directory.
