I'm on WinXP x32 SP3 and ACVPN always used to work about 5 months ago, but now all i get is this error during installation. I've uninstalled every Cisco piece of software and even IE8, but it is no use, it won't finish installation! Is this due to an update to Java or M$ updates or ???
Using:
anyconnect-win-2.5.6005-pre-deploy-k9.msi
anyconnect-win-2.4.0202-web-deploy-k9.exe
I looked in the registry for atl.dll references, i found two: HKLM KB973507 and M$ VC++ Runtime Libraries.
UPDATE: After hours of Cisco tech troubleshooting, we finally downloaded the v3.1.00495 Client ISO from Cisco downloads and installed, and when run directly it worked after unticking the 'Block connections from untrusted servers' setting. My old shortcut still failed to work as it did along time ago, but oh well, problem solved as far as i care.
