I have a user who is facing issue while connecting to Cisco Anyconnect client 4.6, 4.7, 4.8, any version I install. Getting error:
The VPN client was unable to modify the IP forwarding table. A VPN connection will not be established. Please restart your computer or device, then try again.
AnyConnect was not able to establish a connection to the specified secure gateway. Please try connecting again.
Local LAN IP: 192.168.1.5

I would also recommend checking to make sure the client is not receiving the same IP address from the Cisco appliance that they have received from the network that is local to them.
seem like you are overlapping your local network ip address and at the same time your anyconnect ip pool. here is the link here

Every time I have a user report this problem they cannot ping the our VPN. Also, these users are on a mobile hotspot.
Verify internet access to a non-cache web page. ipchicken.com works well for this or any news website.
delete the VPN and type it back in to the VPN field.
