Cisco AnyConnect with Umbrella Roaming Client 'Block A records'

Hello,

 

We have been using the Cisco AnyConnect client for sometime now in a split tunnel setup.  We have been asks to install the standalone Umbrella Roaming Client by our parent company and it works fine internally on the LAN, but when users are on the VPN it fails.

 

In the VPN group policy on the ASA I force users to connect to use our 2 internal DNS servers (Windows Domain controllers) for server name resolution, could it be that?

Hi,

There is a known issue with that version of the client you are using, which produces the error  "Unprotected (Blocked A records) that you are seeing. Temporary workaround here.
