Cisco & Radius

Dear Forum:

I´m working with a Cisco 2600 and freeradius to authenticate my users that are connecting with PPP Dial-In to that Cisco box.

In the Cisco docs I read that Cisco sends to the Radius server the password encrypted. In my case the users´s passwords are stored in a encrypted form into a DB. However the string that Cisco send not match with string stored into that DB.

I´d like to know what algorithm encryption use Cisco to send that password.

Thank you.

hi

Afaik theres no encryption algorithm being used between the radius server and the cisco box to send the password..

we do hve the same kinda setup and ofcourse we do have authentication set in to validate the hosts which can send valid AAA request.
