From where are you connecting to the VPN (internet or inside network)?
i have entered ip address and port no in the hostname with username and password
I am not sure what you mean with this. Could you elaborate on this, and perhaps provide a screenshot of what you enter to connect to the VPN.
Has this VPN worked before, or is this a new setup?
Could you provide a full running config of your ASA please, remember to change all public IPs and passwords.

We would need to see your configuration to get a better idea of what is going on.

Hi Rahul,
Are you connecting by IP or name?
If you connect by name, can you trying to ping the name and test if it works?
Have you tried including the harcoded port to the name when connecting?
BTW, what is the AnyConnect version?
HTH.

Anyconnect version is 2.5.0217 , it works in that
but with Cisco VPN Client 5.0.0.7
Cisco VPN Client is not able to connect & i am connecting by IP not by hostname
Thanks

Rahul,
So you are using the Cisco VPN client client version 5.0.0.7.
To begin with, that version is too old.
On the other hand, are you sure the user is entering the right IP address and not adding any ","?
The only reason I could think of, is that somehow your entering a name instead of a valid IP format and such name cannot be resolved.
Please double check and let me know.
HTH.

Are you using Windows 8 by any chance?

Just to add more details:
The Cisco VPN client is not supported on Windows 8.
