Compatible: IPSec Over UDP NAT/PAT and PPTP?

I'm running XP Home Edition SP2

Cisco’s VPN Client 4.03

I can connect to my office’s VPN using Cisco’s IPSec Over UDP NAT/PAT.

When I try to connect to a MS VPN server using PPTP it fails.

I can connect to the MS VPN server using PPTP if the PC does not have Cisco’s VPN client 4.03 installed.

I'm using one VPN protocol at a time.

Is IPSec Over UDP NAT/PAT and MS PPTP incompatible when installed on the same PC?

Hi,

Even I have had problems having two VPN clients configured on the same laptop. the VPN adaptor binding doesnt take place smooth. Once i disable the PPTP VPN or remove completely, the cisco VPN works. Its always better to stop one of the clients on the "services" tab before starting the other.

This may work, go into the settings for your PPTP connection, and go to the

network tab, untick "Determanistic Network Enhancer".

hope this helps.. all the best...
