CSD - Distinguish Iphone OS and Mac OS

Hey everyone,

Using Cisco Secure Desktop (CSD) would it be possible to distinguish if a user using Anyconnect is connecting from an Iphone (Iphone OS) or from a Macbook (Mac OS) ?

I haven't found the answer so far. CSD doesn't seems to distinguish it.

Here are the OS that CSD checks :

  • Win 2K/XP/Vista
  • Win 9x
  • Mac
  • Linux
  • Failure

I use the version 3.6.6234-k9 of CSD.

Thank you !

Hi Francois,

You could do Endpoint Assessment for iOS as well using CSD's hostscan feature integrated with Dynamic Access Policy (DAP) feature.

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps6120/products_white_paper09186a00809fcf38.shtml#t2

Currently, there is no option available for checking iOS using CSD's Pre-login policy feature.

Please also go through this document which talks about Mobile Posture Assessment:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/vpn_client/anyconnect/anyconnect25/administration/guide/ac09_admin_mobile.html#wp1016752

Hope the information is informative.

Regards,

Nick
