cstub : parser error:Extra content at the end of the document

We use openconnect with a csd wrapper script which in turns runs cstub to connect to vpn.

If I skip using the cisco trojans I can connect. For various reasons would prefer to use the cisco trojans.

When trying to use cstub on Fedora 40 beta I am seeing the following.

[Thread debugging using libthread_db enabled]
Using host libthread_db library "/lib64/libthread_db.so.1".
[New Thread 0x7ffff72006c0 (LWP 5160)]
[Thread 0x7ffff72006c0 (LWP 5160) exited]
[Detaching after fork from child process 5161]
Entity: line 34: parser error : Extra content at the end of the document

^
[Inferior 1 (process 5159) exited with code 0362

This does not occur on RHEL or Fedora <=39.

I am using cstab v5.0.02075. Is there perhaps a newer/another version I can use. The 4.10x binaries do not work on Fedora 40.

Trying using libxml2 from fedora 39 works.
