Hello all,
please give an advise to a beginner.
Situation: There is a MPLS-based network which offers VPN service for the customers. There is a standalone AS5350 which has a connection to PSTN/ISDN network and provides a dialup service.
We mant to offer a new service (dialin access to VPN) to number of our clients.
From the docs on CCO I understood there are two possible scenarios to do that:
1. having AS5350 as NAS and building L2TP tunnels to one of PE routers (L2TP dialin remote access)
2. having AS5350 as NAS/PE (direct ISDN dialin remote access)
With the first scenario both analog and ISDN calls are allowed, with the second scenario only ISDN calls are allowed.
The questions are:
Am I right in my understanding?
Are there any other simpler scenarios?
Is the first scenario the only one suitable for analog calls?
I really appreciate your comments and grateful for you suggestions (URLs) how to organize this dialin access to VPN for the customers using both analog and ISDN calls.
Thanks,
Mike
