DMVPN Phase 1

Dear All

I created one lap using DMVPN between R11, R31 and R41

I used EIGRP between 3 routers, the tunnel interface is up and R11 can learn R31 and R41 routes

I want R31 to learn R41's route through R11, but that doesn't happen

show ip route on both routers shows only R11 route

I tried to disable split horizon on R11's Gig 0/0 but nothing change

@ShamsDim

You still have split horizon disabled on the Gi0/0 interface and not disabled on the Tunnel interface.

Your configuration on R11

interface Tunnel100
bandwidth 4000
ip address 192.168.100.11 255.255.255.0
no ip redirects
ip mtu 1400
ip nhrp map multicast dynamic
ip nhrp network-id 100
ip tcp adjust-mss 1360
tunnel source GigabitEthernet0/0
tunnel mode gre multipoint
tunnel key 100
!
interface GigabitEthernet0/0
ip address 172.16.11.1 255.255.255.0
ip access-group TEST out
no ip split-horizon eigrp 100
duplex auto
speed auto
media-type rj45

Do this:-

interface tunnel 100
no ip split-horizon eigrp 100

@ShamsDim

You are using named EIGRP, so you will need to disable split horizon under the eigrp configuration instead of under the tunnel interface.

router eigrp NHRP
!
address-family ipv4 unicast autonomous-system 100
!
af-interface Tunnel100
 no split-horizon

Hi @ShamsDim

You need to disable split horizon on the Hub's Tunnel interface (Tu100) not Gi0/0

interface tunnel 100
no ip split-horizon eigrp X

I did it now

but still I can't see the routes

R11#show running-config | section interface
interface Tunnel100
bandwidth 4000
ip address 192.168.100.11 255.255.255.0
no ip redirects
ip mtu 1400
no ip split-horizon eigrp 100
ip nhrp map multicast dynamic
ip nhrp network-id 100
ip tcp adjust-mss 1360
tunnel source GigabitEthernet0/0
tunnel mode gre multipoint
tunnel key 100

R31#show ip route | begin Gateway
Gateway of last resort is not set

C 10.2.2.0/24 is directly connected, GigabitEthernet0/0

@ShamsDim

Please provide the configuration of the routers.

Thank you for following up

you can see the routers configuration in attachment

@ShamsDim

You still have split horizon disabled on the Gi0/0 interface and not disabled on the Tunnel interface.

Your configuration on R11

interface Tunnel100
bandwidth 4000
ip address 192.168.100.11 255.255.255.0
no ip redirects
ip mtu 1400
ip nhrp map multicast dynamic
ip nhrp network-id 100
ip tcp adjust-mss 1360
tunnel source GigabitEthernet0/0
tunnel mode gre multipoint
tunnel key 100
!
interface GigabitEthernet0/0
ip address 172.16.11.1 255.255.255.0
ip access-group TEST out
no ip split-horizon eigrp 100
duplex auto
speed auto
media-type rj45

Do this:-

interface tunnel 100
no ip split-horizon eigrp 100

Actually I did it

but I copied the configuration before I did it

@ShamsDim

You are using named EIGRP, so you will need to disable split horizon under the eigrp configuration instead of under the tunnel interface.

router eigrp NHRP
!
address-family ipv4 unicast autonomous-system 100
!

 no split-horizon

it's working now

really appreciate your support

thank you so much
