DNS issues using anyconnect after installing DART client

I was setting up host checking and testing on a user's computer in a remote office so I installed the DART client to troubleshoot.  After installing this client, the user can no longer perform external DNS lookups while connected to our VPN.  I have uninstalled the DART client and even reinstalled his anyconnect client, but he is still having the problem.

It seems relegated to just his machine, as I can log in as him on another machine and I don't have the problem.  We have about 10-15 other users connected to the VPN and none are having this issue.  Specifically if he connects to the VPN he cannot then browse to external websites such as google.com.  He can pull sites up by their IP, but not by name.  Split tunneling is configured and working properly for all other users.

Has anyone else ever experienced this? I have a case open with Cisco support but we don't seem to be finding a solution.

By the description of the problem this seems to be a problem with the computer, DART is just a tool that will recollect information from the logs in the Windows database.

Maybe you can try checking ip configuration on the machine at the moment it connects and make sure that the user is connecting to the right tunnel.

The user definitely connects to the correct tunnel group.  We only have one, and I can see in the monitoring tab that it is correct.  I agree there is a problem on the computer but I just can't seem to find what that problem is.

Hi Thomas,

When the user is connected to the computer.

What do you see if you do a nslookup?

Is it going the right DNS server?
