Failover loging

Can some one let me know the actual significance of logging standby statement in a PIX 535 6.3 cluster...when we have a syslog server...will we be seeing LOGS coming from both the active and standby at the same time or what will we be seeing from a syslog server perspective once we issue "logging standby" command

What would the failover pix be logging if no traffic is passing thru it

Thansk and regards

The "logging standby" commands lets the failover standby unit also send syslog messages. This option is disabled by default. You can enable it to ensure that the standby unit's syslog messages stay synchronized should failover occur. However, this option causes twice as much traffic on the syslog server. Disable with the no logging standby command.
