Gateway IP on client after remote access VPN connection

I'm lobbing with a FortiGate firewall and have a remote access VPN configured. Could someone tell me where this IP is coming from? Site

When the VPN client connects it gets assigned an IP range from the Fortigate as expected but where does the IP listed in the highlighted gateway come from in the screenshot when I do a route print? I have no IP set on the VPN tunnel interface on the FortiGate as to my understanding of VPN's no IP is needed for the tunnel to work as it's a point to point connection.

Hopefully check are you in the right communuty, this is Cisco community. you are asking question related to Fortinet here.

Remote access VPN when you dial from Windows PC, you get IP address allocated from VPN Server, and based on the policies applied, the Routing will be changed.

more information can be find Fortinet site :
