I have a PIX setup to allow the locally connected network to get out through the PIX, for some reason my other internel routed subnets cant get out. )-;
Any books, sites, tips, etc to help me get up to speed on the PIX?

for your internal routed subnets to talk through PIX, check the following;
- have nat/global configured correctly
- if there is an ACL on inside interface, permit these networks
- static route on PIX for inside networks pointing to internal next-hop
