Hi All,
i have Dell laptop with WinXP installed and Cisco VPN client 5.0.05.0290 (through IPSEC/UDP). Usually it works fine on
on any environment. Recently i upgraded my home modem to wi-fi ASUS DSL-G31 and got that well-gknown
"Reason 412: the remote peer is no longer respondin". So basically i cannot connet to VPN from home at all.
There is no any firewall configured on that modem. I can still connect from other points
Will be extreamly grateful for any hint how to solve the issue
Thanks!

i've found the right solution. It looks like ASUS filters some prots anyway..
try below, it worked for me
1). Start Admin console on your Asus, go to WAN > Port Triggering
2). Add 3 lines below (Description, Trigger port/Protocol, Incoming port/Protocol):
+ Cisco VPN , 500/UDP , 500/UDP
+ Cisco VPN , 4500/UDP , 4500/UDP
+ Cisco VPN , 62514:62524/UDP , 62514:62524/UDP
3). press Apply
and enjoy
rdgs,
Vadim
