Suppose that you are using a Proxy to connect to Internet. Could you use one of your clients (inside your network) to connect to a customer network using VPN client ? There is a PIX on the other side. Which is the configuration you must use ?

No, for vpn clients terminating on PIX, it will not support proxy users. I heard that new release of PIX firmware 6.0, PAT (NAT transperency) will be supported. For now, all vpn clients need a public ip to connect to the PIX. VPN concentrator 3000 and 5000 do support proxy users (users coming from one public ip).

I did that running the cisco secure VPN client 1.1 in the PC running the proxy server. You must encrypt the LAN card on the outside and live the other one without encryption. This configuration works fine.
