Dear All,

Kindly note that I have a project that consists on creating an IPSEC-VPN between CISCO router and TP-Link modem over DSL connection.

I tried to search the internet for similar scenarios but couldn't find any helpful article, I also followed the instructions and tried to set the IPSEC over GRE on the CISCO router but the status of the session is always down.

Please advise.

Thank you in advance for your time and help.

Best Regards,

Hi dib-tawk@hotmail.com,

I don't thin the TP link supports GRE/IPSEC, you can take a look to the following guide:

http://cz.tp-link.com/faq-380.html --TPlink config

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/routers/1700-series-modular-access-routers/71462-rtr-l2l-ipsec-split.html Cisco Router config --> make sure you configure the Router as Router A on this guide matching the configuration of the TPlink.

If you are having problems after trying the configuration you can share the config of both devices so we can guide you a hand.

Hope this info helps!!

Hi Dib-tawk,

TP-Link Archer MR200 supports only LAN-to-LAN IPSEC VPN. GRE/IPSEC or advance VPN implementation is not available in TP-Link Archer MR200. But you could set up LAN-to-LAN IPSEC VPN with Cisco router though.
