IPSec VPN Issue!

Hello,

I have setup IPSec VPN on cisco 1841 router. I am facing a problem that is after day 1/2 router stops sending the traffic in VPN tunnel which resolves after rebooting the router. Kindly suggest me the permanent solution.

Is this is a site to site or a Remote access vpn? When the issue happens take the following output from the router?

show crypto ipsec sa

show crypto session detail

Run the following debugs as well:

debug crypto isakmp

debug crypto ipsec

Please check if the lifetimes are configured properly on the router. The Isakmp lifetime should be greater than the Ipsec (in secs) by default its 86400 and 3600 respectively.

please make sure the lifetime in KB's in set to unlimited and make sure it is set to unlimited. 

Also, make sure lifetimes on the  devices on each end have the same settings and not different ( n secs or Kbs).
