Kali unable to scan Metaspoitable2 using Nmap since Cisco is running

As I am working on Ethical Hacking, I find it difficult to scan for open ports in the Metaspoitation2 Virtual Machin using my Kali VM. It is simply saying all the ports are closed. Could someone please help me with how to resolve this issue? I want Cisco to monitor only my main desk, not my VMs.
