Hello
I have an ASA5505 that I'd like to use to connect to commercial vpn server.
The provider users windows VPN servers and support pptp,l2tp and sstp clients
My windows 7 machine connects to this using l2tp/ipsec or pptp. There is a user/password and shared-key
So .. I would prefer to use my ASA5505 for this instead of my windows box.
I know the ASA can act as a L2TP server, but can it be configured for L2TP or PPTP dial-out?
I have a reference for this IOS feature, http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios/12_3t/12_3t2/feature/guide/gtvoltun.html#wp1027129
But have not been able to find such info for the ASA
Thanks in advance

ASA can not be configured as PPTP or L2TP client. It can only support PPTP or L2TP server as you have posted earlier.
Typically for PPTP and L2TP, you can only connect from a host (windows machines), not from a network device.
Hope that answers your question.
