Is metro-ethernet over fiber (point-to-point) link secure ? Can someone sniff into the network (and see unencrypted data) over Metro-ethernet point-to-point link ?
There no guarantee of confidentiality unless the link is encrypted (by you). Otherwise the data is exposed to your provider. You have to trust your provider to not span your port and sniff it. If that's not acceptable, then protect it with IPSec.
