So this question has been asked many times before. My company does not licence Cisco AnyConnect. It is the different clients (as in customers of different companies) who use AnyConnect in order to connect to their system.
What is needed is to add multiple connections to the drop-down list so it is easy to connect to them when needed. To do that, one has to edit the AnyConnect_client_profile.xml file located in the C:\ProgramData\Cisco\Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client\Profile.
So that works but it seems AnyConnect keeps replacing the files so it resets to only 1 connection. So whenever that happens, you need to go back into the file to edit and save it. The problem now is that in order to save the file, the user must have read and write permission or just admin privileges. I gave the user read and write permissions but those permissions keep disappearing.
Anyone in IT knows you keep the list of people who had admin privileges to a limited number.
So, is there any other way or other files that I need to edit so the user can permanently have multiple connections to different clients in the drop-down list? Is there a way I can prevent AnyConnect from replacing the files?
