Question I can set up multiple VPN tunnels on a cisco router 800 series?

Hi
Yes you can have "several" different vpn site2site tunnels.
Howmany is different in different routers.
The 800 series only have a few (think it was something like 2 or 5)

how do you configure it, because you can only assign a crypto map to the interface

Hi
According to the papers it supports up to 50 ipsec vpn tunnels

I am not shure I understand what you mean with the configuration problem.
you are supposed to set the cryptomap to an interface.
Since I normally do not work with the 800 and I do not know your setup ill just try to provide you with some links that might help you.

Hi,
You cannot apply more than 2 crypto maps to an interface. only 1 crypto map will be active.
But multiple vpn tunnels can terminate on the router. They will be distinguished by the sequence of th crypto map.
The following link will give you details of the crypto map.
In the link you can note the following:
crypto map s4second 2 ipsec-isakmp
Enter crypto map configuration mode, specify a sequence number for the crypto map you created in Step 1, and configure the crypto map to use IKE to establish SAs. This example configures sequence number 2 and IKE for crypto map s4second.
so you can multiple VPN tunnels terminating on the router. Each will be associated with a different crypto map sequence number.
Hope this helps.

Anisha
