The Data Sheet of Cisco 826 describe the following features:

"Multiuser IPSec Pass-through

Allows IPSec tunnels to pass through the router when VPN PC Software clients are required

Support for PPTP tunnels, encrypted or unencrypted, initiated at the PC"

What is the meaning of this feature?

Is NAT/PAT of IPSec?

If yes, how it works?

Hi Klett,

The Support for IPSec ESP Through NAT feature provides the ability to support multiple concurrent IP Security (IPSec) Encapsulating Security Payload (ESP) tunnels or connections through a Cisco IOS Network Address Translation (NAT) device configured in Overload or Port Address Translation (PAT) mode.

Here's the link for how to configure it:

http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/software/ios122/122newft/122t/122t13/ftnatesp.htm

Thanks,

Aamir

ok, tnks.

then the problem is an other. The supported release is 12.2(13)T, wich has no support only of IPSec (3DES) and FW on 826!

Then the question is an other:

When Cisco will implement "IPSec ESP Through NAT" and NAT-T on a version that support IPSec and FW on 826??

Many tnks
