I have ADSL connection, small business, I only need 2 or 3 connections from mobile workers to the office.

Which router should I use and does it come with software for the remote access or is that extra cost?

Tim,

The 1800 series router (http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps5853/index.html), which replace the 1700s, sounds good for your purposes:

"The Cisco 1801, 1802, 1803 integrated services routers provide high-speed ADSL or G.SHDSL broadband access while ensuring reliable networking with integrated ISDN S/T BRI backup. The Cisco 1811 and 1812 provide high-speed broadband and Ethernet access through two 10/100BaseT WAN ports and also provide integrated WAN backup through V.92 analog modem (Cisco 1811) or ISDN S/T BRI interface (Cisco1812)".

The 1700 series are good too. Check out the Cisco 1700 Solution Design Tool (http://www.ciscowebtools.com/1700sdt/child/1.0/index.asp) to come up with a configuration of a complete Cisco 1700 Series system.

Otherwise how do you intend for the mobile workers to connect to you?

Josef.

PS - please rate the usefulness of this and other users' posts...

Hi, hope its not too late.

How about the new 800 series? (e.g. 850 / 870)

They could act as Easy VPN Server, and allow mobile user to connect into it using Cisco VPN Client.\
