Novice User- Having Difficulty connecting Via Vpn -Anyconnect

I am trying to get some help in connecting to my companies VPN. We Use any connect and I am unable to connect via my Win 7 machine. I can connect on my wife's which I believe is XP. My Company Uses Cisco ANyconnect VPN Client V. 2.5.1025.

When I attempt to connect via my Win 7 desktop I notice it sits at the "Establishing VPN-Activating VPN adapter" for a couple seconds before it gives me the pop up window that says" Anyconnect was not able to establish a connection to the specified secure gateway. please try connecting again.

After I select OK

Another pop up window states "THe VPN client has encountered an error"

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling and have not made any headway.

Any help is appreciated.

The Win7 desktop is wired to the router, and the netbook (succesful connection) is wireless.

Not reallysurewhere to go from here. The company I work for does nto offer support for non-company computers.

Hi Nick,

It is pretty difficult to know exactly what is the issue with the info provided so far.

I would advise you to have a look at the Windows event viewer (eventvwr.exe) and check in the Anyconnect logs to see the reason for the failure of the connection.

This should give you a better idea of why you are unable to connect.
