Novice - Windows 7 crash dump after installing VPN client

Hello

I am a doctor trying to use an x-ray program in use at the hospital at home. This requires a VPN connection and software. I have tried installing the Cisco software recommended by the IT dept which I think is version 5. It downloads, unzips, installs and then on rebooting the computer crashs on the Windows login screen and I have to restore my computer?

Does anyone have a solution? I am not very good with computers and this is driving me crazy. I have tried several clients but they all have the some effect. Needless to say my IT dept is less than helpful.

Many thanks

Tom

Tom,

Legacy VPN client is actually end of engineering... otherwise I would advise to send us a copy of minidump generated by windows.

Typically there are two things going wrong:

1) Interaction with some other software on PC (like AV or HIPS software) - try disabling those and checking again.

2) Low level driver problems - try updating your drivers + DNE upgrade - update drivers (if you can) and DNE (Citrix component) and see what happens.
