I am unable to login to an NT domain after connecting remotely via a vpn client.
I have activated the start before login feature and can connect to the network . The VPN 3030 concentrator sees my connection and gives me a valid ip address. However I am unable to ping that address from the internal network. From the client machine I am unable to logon to the domain.
if however I logon to the cleient machine locally, I can then ping both ways. If I then logoff, but not restart, the client machine. The vpn disconnects. If I then try to reconnect, the vpn re-establishes and I can then logon to the domain without a problem, Any body any idesa.?

Hello:
I am also having the similar issue, but with windows 2003 domain. But i am atleast able to ping the local LAN. The only problem i have right now is mapping the network drives.
Here is what you can do,
1. Use access-list and allow the traffic from VPN client pool ip address to the local LAN
2. Use WINS server
3. Use of LMHOSTS might help.
As i said i am not experienced

Sounds like the machines on the local lan dont know where to send the packet destined for your addressgiven to you via the vpn concentrator. Do you have a static route for thwe vpn subnet pointing to the concentrator?
