NX-OS management with the Netconf interface

Hello:

We are currently developing a Java application to manage our Nexus equipments (n5k/2k and n7k) and we are particularly interested in using the XML interface which seems to be the perfect solution to deal with structured data.

Did anyone work on a similar project and could provide us feedback, the name of existing libraries or some good documentation about this topic?

Do you know if there are differences between the NETCONF protocol implementations of the different Nexus Series/versions of NX-OS? As there are several packages for the xsd schemas depending on the equipment and version I suppose yes, but maybe there are only few differences...
