Following scenario:
Site-to-site tunnel from IOS to PIX. As the PIX has two providers directly attached, the customer would like to have a redundant VPN tunnel over the second interface/provider.
Are there standard solutions for this?
I reckon using BGP is not an option, due to the small size of the customer and the big efforts to arrange this with the providers.
The only way I see is using OSPF over GRE, since we are running IPSec. I think the PIX supports OSPF from 6.2 on, but does it support GRE?
On the other hand, can IOS handle two parallel IPSec tunnels with the same dest. networks?
Any kind of advice is appreciated, as well as other concepts.
Thanks
Toni
