Remote Desktop Conn issue tunnel thru VPN remote User

Hello,

I set up PIX 501 for site2site VPN and VPN remote user. I have no problem connecting to the Terminal Server runs 2003 OS thru the site2site VPN using the Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection. However, I received the error of possible network error when I connect via VPN remote user connection from home, I can ping the Terminal Server, though. I am using the latest client ver 4.6!

Pls help. Thanks.

How are you doing the ping - by hostname or by ip address?

Is the term server's ip address as seen by the site2site connection the same as it is for the remote access connection?

Is the pix sysopt permit-ipsec on or off?

I ping by IP address. Yes, the pix sysopt permit-ipsec is on. Pix is running v6.3(4). Yes, the term server is the same for both conn.
