Securing against PPTP dictionary attacks

Hi

Is it possible on the PIX to protect against PPTP dictionary attacks i.e. after 3 failed attempts block the host for 10 minutes?

I guess in theory someone could just sit there trying combinations of usernames/passwords otherwise.

Thoughts?

I don't think such a facility exists. However, you could see CSCdy01376 for more information on protection against dictionary attacks. You could use passwords with ten characters or more and use a mixture of lower and upper case letters and numbers. That should make your password really difficult to crack.
