I have enabled Smart Card authentication/authorization for remote VPN users. Everything is working well, however, because I have to use the "user Principal Name" of the authentication certificate on the card, which is a number, this is what shows up in the VPN monitoring log on the ASA. So it's not easy for me to look at the log and tell who is logged in through VPN without having to go through Active Directory, each user at a time to see which user has the Smart Card number as their username.
I'm wondering if there's a way to configure the ASA to show me the users name vice the user principal name and AD username, which is a number. I can't change the UPN/AD username from being the Smart Card ID number because I don't create them.
