Trouble with MCOM modem module on Cisco 2620

Can anyone pls assist me with following ,i have Cisco 2620 Router with 8 port MCOM modem module. All 8 lines plugged into router have been tested and are working ,i did a debug on the modem modules and when you dial in you can see the Async int grab the line ,but then it gets stuck at Waiting for carrier message ,and then hangs up after a while. Anything i can do to ascertain whether the modem module might be faulty.

Hi ,sorry it is actually a 2522 with 8 async serial ports ,with external Duxbury modems connected to serial ports ,when you dial into modem it answers ,but when it tries to authenticate username and password it just hangs there ,after doing a debug on all ppp events i found that the ppp authentication process is not going through ,can you maybe help ,i have attached config and debug output.
