I have configured 2 pix 501's with ipsec vpn and it seems to work with all ip traffic except the actual voice. The phone rings but the sound does not come through....
It's a Nortel Meridian PABX behind both PIX. The PABX are configured with "Trunks" to each other to carry internal telephony between the two offices.
Could the problem be solved by turning of randomizing tcp sequence numbers or by apply a fixup for the voice traffic??

My hunch is that you are running into a bug as you should not need to turn on anything additional to make this type of setup work. You didn't mention your version of code, and I hate to even mention it, but I would suggest upgrading to the latest release within your train and re-testing. Each release since 6.0 has gotten progressively better with respect to IPT so I would suggest 6.3(4) if at all possible. Let me know if this is either not possible or not necessary if you are already at a later version of code. Also, a look at your configs might help.

I do agree with Scott.
Upgrade, upgrade, upgrade in an voice environment.
And please post your PIX config.

Hi and thanks!
I'm running 6.3(3).
Is it any big changes in the 6.3(4)?
