VPN 3000 L2L with Default route : DNS not working

Hi,

I've got 2 Cisco 3015's back to back with a LAN-to-LAN tunnel between them. At one end of the tunnel I have a small network and at the other end of the tunnel is the Internet.

I am routing a defaut route across the tunnel so that PCs on the small network can access anything on the Internet.

The small network is addressed using 10.x.x.x so I am using an Interface NAT rule on the Internet facing VPN to hide behind the public interface.

I can get Ping, Traceroute etc across the tunnel but not DNS (I can ping the DNS !!)

Any clues.

Cheers.

Cheers.

Verify that the PC that runs the VPN Client gets the correct WINS and Domain Name System (DNS) information.

To see this information, go to Start > Run and type winipcfg (on Windows 9x machines) or ipconfig /all (on Windows NT, 2000, and XP machines).

Check event logs and debugs to see the WINS and DNS information that is being passed down from the headend device to the remote VPN Client
